ABOUT

Ryan Henry Knight is a filmmaker, screenwriter, and creative producer from Alexandria, VA, known for genre-bending, emotionally resonant stories that move between surrealism, psychological horror, and social commentary.

A graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, Ryan's work has been recognized internationally at Oscars-qualifying Austin Film Festival, the BAFTA-qualifying Aesthetica Film Festival, the Gary International Black Film Festival, and NFFTY, where his experimental short Run Away, They'll See Us was nominated for Best Experimental Short and selected as senior programmer Robert Bojorquez's top pick in its program. At 18, he became the youngest recipient of both the Golden Script Competition (UK) and the New York International Screenplay Awards for his psychological thriller And Home We Came, and was named a Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Fellow in Film & Video that same year. Acclaimed filmmaker Kentucker Audley (Strawberry Mansion, Sylvio) called him "a fiercely ambitious filmmaker and a promising young voice" for his work on Ludere and You Almost Saw Me, the latter earning Best Director at Trinity Film Festival.

Ryan writes and directs original motion pictures through Happy Accident Film Company and PGM Pictures, his production entities developing psychological, character-driven material — including the in-development features METROM, LOVERBOY, and the recently completed short PERICARP, set to premiere in 2026.

On the brand side, he has directed campaigns and films for Nike, Red Bull, and Google, and most recently the adidas documentary series, The Point of It All.
