THE WHY:


Launched in January 2015 as a fashion blog, Cut x Sewn set out to become a multidimensional platform celebrating underrepresented artists across music, fashion, film, and more. The challenge was to establish a global presence, spotlight emerging talent, and build a brand that resonated with rising creatives and cultural icons—while driving significant growth and engagement.

EXECUTION:


Through bold storytelling, curated visuals, and exclusive interviews, Cut x Sewn evolved into a digital magazine that became a bridge between undiscovered talent and a global audience. With a mission to highlight slept-on artists alongside established figures, the platform fostered inspiration, collaboration, and cultural advancement, shaping a creative hub for today’s and tomorrow’s innovators.

IMPACT:


In just 3.5 months, Cut x Sewn amassed over 50,000 hits, establishing a global audience spanning the US, Canada, the UK, France, Germany, and beyond. Its success led to partnerships with Complex Magazine and early features on talents like Russ, Ronny J, Brockhampton, Luka Sabbat, and Austin Babbitt (ASSPIZZA), many of whom have achieved significant milestones over the last decade. Writers and editors nurtured by Cut x Sewn later found success at prestigious outlets like PAPER Magazine and Vogue. Popular fashion influencers OUTLANDER and Bliss Foster, both early members of the Cut x Sewn family, have since amassed nearly 1 million collective followers.

The platform’s impact extended beyond digital, culminating in the creation of the SENSE Creative Culture Convention—an all-day event showcasing 35 artists from across the US through performances, pop-up shops, fashion shows, and collaborations. This momentum also led to the launch of a globally recognized merchandising brand with a loyal customer base, cementing Cut x Sewn’s position as a cultural incubator and catalyst for creative growth.
